Garnet Valley H.S. to receive Pa.’s first-ever state championship trophy
in Overwatch
PIEA to host trophy presentation on Thursday to recognize Garnet Valley's Spring 2021 Overwatch championship
HARRISBURG, Pa. (June 4, 2021) -- The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Esports Association (PIEA) will award the state’s first-ever scholastic esports state championship trophy in Overwatch on Thursday, June 10 to Garnet Valley High School’s esports program. Garnet Valley won the PIEA Spring 2021 State Championships in Overwatch last month after going 6-1 in the regular season and running through the State Championship postseason.
The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Garnet Valley's campus located at 552 Smithbridge Rd. in Glen Mills.

In addition to winning the PIEA trophy, Garnet Valley's esports program also earned $1,400 in scholarship funds and high-quality gaming peripherals, including ViewSonic monitors and HyperX headphones.
