Earlier this week, the York Daily Record, a daily newspaper that serves south central Pennsylvania and its surrounding region, featured the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Esports Association (PIEA) and one of its founding Board members, Langdon Ramsberg.
The article, written by reporter Neil Strebig, focuses on Pennsylvania's high school esports landscape, but really dives into the reason the PIEA exists and the void the organization is looking to fill.
It really builds on the philosophy that esports players, especially youth players in high school, want local rivalries and to play for a state title...just like their traditional sports peers. We heard this from so many younger players...and we are so thrilled and excited to finally bring the "State Title" concept to Pennsylvania high school esports programs.
